1, Begin by opening the Spotify app in which you will see this page. Press the green sign up free button to begin creating your Spotify account.

 

 

2, Press onto the box under “What’s your email?” and put your email address you want to use to create your Spotify account. When you have entered your email address press the Next button under it.

 

3, Press the box under the “Create a password” and enter the password you want to use when logging into Spotify. Make sure to not forget this password if you ever need to log in again. When you are finished entering your password, press the next button under it.

 

 

4, Enter your date of birth. Do this by scrolling on the date, month and year of birth. When you have entered your date of birth, press the next button under the “What’s your date of birth?” button.

 

 

5, Enter your gender, do this by scrolling to your gender on the bottom of the screen, if you prefer not to say there is an option for that. When you have entered it, press the next button under “What’s your gender?”

 

 

6, Write the name you want to be displayed on Spotify. Write this under “What’s your name?”, after filling in your name, choose whether or not you want to receive marketing messages from Spotify. If you don’t want to receive emailed ads from Spotify, press onto the circle highlighted by the arrow. Then press “Create account” at the bottom of the screen.

 

 

7, To begin your experience on Spotify pick 3 or more artists you are interested in. Don’t worry too much about choosing every artist you like as you can listen to their music without selecting them. You can look for artists you like by scrolling down the page or pressing on the search bar to find an artist or group that you like.

 

 

8, Type in the artist or band you want into the search bar. Keep in mind you don’t have to spell the artists name or group fully for it to pop up, or correctly. If you see your artist pop up before you have finished writing the name you can press it. This will select it as one of your liked artists, repeat until you have selected three or more.

 

 

9, Press the done button at the bottom of your screen, you can see it highlighted by an arrow below.

 

 

10, Press the green “Not now” button to continue into Spotify.

 

 

10, To begin searching for your favourite music, artists or playlists press the search button on the bottom of the screen.

 

11, Press onto this search bar and type in the song name, artist name or playlist name of what you want to listen to.

 

12, You can see the results of your search on your screen, press onto on the song or playlist you wish to listen too… and enjoy!
