New Zealand Herald App Installation (Apple)

2, After clicking the link you will receive a pop up which will look like this. Using this image select the “Open in app store” button which will redirect you to a new page.
3, Arriving now at the App store press the “Get” button this button will start the process of you downloading the application onto your device.
4, After pressing the button you will receive a pop up on your screen asking you if you want to install. You are now going to press the blue “install” button at the bottom middle of your screen.
5, Now you will enter the password you created when you made your apple store account. When you are done typing your password into the box then you can press the ‘Sign in’ button. This will finalize the installation of the application onto your device. If you receive any errors during this process repeat steps 3-4 until it is successful.
6, Return to your home page and locate the application on your screen. The application will be named ‘NZ Herald’ and will have a as the picture. Wait a few minutes then press on the application to open it up.
7, When opening up the application you will receive a popup asking if you would like to receive notifications. These notifications will give you alerts on your device when there is breaking news. You can choose if you want these by clicking ‘allow’ or if you wish not to then clicking ‘Don’t allow’
8, You will secondly be asked if you want to have a compact or default view of the application, this is completely personal. Press on the one you choose to use then continue to click next until you see the sign in / create my account screen.
9, If you have used NZ Herald before then you are able to sign in using the ‘sign in’ button, it will bring you up to a new page where you can enter the email and password to your account. If you do not already have an account, then you can skip this step.
10, If you haven’t used NZ Herald before then you can create your account by pressing the ‘create my account’ button. You will then need to put your email address in and create a password that you will use when logging into your account.
11, after entering your email and password you decide to use then press the sign up or create my account button. A new screen will pop up asking you what topics interest you, you are able to look through and tap the ones that you are interested in, when you are done click the button in the top right corner.
